Robo Dog

Mechanical Lead

A handyman assistant robot dog responsible in assisting the user in completing their daily DIY handyman projects. This robot serves a safe and efficient workflow by reducing the strain on the user and its surroundings.

The robot dog utilizes 4 brushless motors and 12 servo motors on its multi-axis legs and has a gripper attached above it for handling tools. The autonomous robot uses lidar sensors to map a layout and guide itself, to pick tools and whatnot to assist the user.

The gripper attachment and the leg were optimized to allow wires and controller routings through the motor, whilst maintaining weight constraints. Electrical components were also CADed but are not part of the assembly
