Performed a screw driver dissection (in a group of 3). After cut opening a screwdriver, we measured the dimensions of important components like gears and shafts.
We redesigned the model to alter the stopping mechanism of the screw driver. The design features a planetary gearbox with 8 spur gears mechanically mated together for movement. The green button on the right of the design, when pushed stops the ring gear in place halting the mechanism. This concept has its drawbacks but works pretty good based on our design space (least friction / free rotation)
